* Warning: The article may be a bit dry, let's get a big glass of water first! (plus for your clear skin too)
In every document related to skincare that I have read, there are 2 extremely familiar and super important concepts, Skin tone and Undertone. However it seems to me lots of beautiful ladies (including the one reading this) have missed out on them :D
Why do we have to distinguish and identify Skin Tone and Undertone?
Both of these beauty terms are very often used and mentioned in the skincare routine, and are one of the “most basic”' and most overlooked definitions!
If they are used correctly, they will help you much more on choosing the right foundation for your skin, pick better clothes, combine make up options that will suit you.... It's like having to grasp our own strengths to shine to the fullest, it’s dangerous to hold them wrong and go with it right. Therefore, to apply the two beauty concepts If this is the most effective way for us (and avoid the 'backfire' effect), then first of all we have to know what it is and what kind is our own!
First, the most common question, is skin-tone and undertone the same?
The answer is NO!
Skin-tone is the color, the color of our skin undertone is an assortment of tones beneath / in our skin. When comparing between skin colors and mentioning words like "white skin", "brown skin", "black skin", that's just skin-tone! And undertone is only warm (warm), cold (cool) and neutral (neutral) whiff.
Also, skin-tone is the type of skin color that can change over time (winter is light, summer is dark), and undertone is something that never changes for everyone – since you were born. So your skin tone stays for the rest of your life!
Different skin-tone types:

Fair

How to know your skin tone?
Figuring your Skin tone is real simple. The easiest way to determine your own skin-tone is to compare it with your friends. When looking familiar and forming an objective perspective, everyone will be able to name their skin-tone type right away, and even if there is a shade deviation, it is not too bad. This skin-tone needs to be carefully memorized to work with. Or you can do this by using an app! If either you don't trust your judgement or just like to use another opinion, I would recommend the Bare Minerals app: MADE-2-FIT Makeup (only available on IOS https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bareminerals-made-2-fit-makeup/id1227977554) . Remember, it doesn't have to be spot-on, but you should have a general idea to make the next steps easier.
Different types of undertones
Undertone matters in selecting skin-related makeup products such as foundation, concealer, etc..
Cool - Wear tones of red, pink or bluish (the colors belong to the cold family).
Warm - Wear brown, yellow tones (colors that belong to the warm family).
Neutral - Wear both red and yellow tones (or not both).
Neutral Cool - Wear neutral tones but much cooler.
Neutral Warm - Neutral tone but more warm.
How to identify Your Undertone?
There are countless ways! But today I would like to introduce to you the 3 easiest ways! Remember, these 3 are just relative tests. Maybe after doing all 3 types of skin you do not get 100% result at all, or you can not distinguish the results of the tests. Don't be sad, because even though the results are rhythmic and too difficult to determine, you're most likely the luckiest of all - Neutral Undertone)
Before you begin, remember:
ALWAYS do the following tests outside of natural sunlight. No LED lights, no yellow lights, no lights of any kind, because these lights are also colored and affect the results already!
The tests are also suggestions to make use of your Undertone to glow
3 ways to identify your undertone
Cool, Warm or Neutral?
1. Hereditary

If you have blonde, brown, black, red hair AND black, brown or chestnut eyes ,
Your chances of undertone are Warm
If you have black, brown or blonde hair AND blue, green or gray eyes,
Your undertone is Cool.

During summer, when you enjoy that sunbathing , as the skin to be exposed to direct sunlight and got some burning, what will happen next?
If the skin is super-sunburnt and changes to a pinkish red like boiled shrimp, then your skin has Cool undertone.
If the skin is tanned and always turn brown, tanned, tanned healthy, then your skin has warm undertone: D
If it changes now and then ? Neutral Undertone is yours!
3. Blood Vessels
Use natural sunlight (remember, not under a tube or yellow light!), Hold your arm out and see what color the blood vessels are!
If your blood vessels are blue, your undertone is Cool.
If your blood vessels are green, your undertone is Warm.
If your veins are mixed in two colors, or if the middle of both colors makes you unable to identify whether it is green or blue, your undertone is Neutral!
I hope after reading this article you have identified the Skin-tone and Undertone for yourself .
The only rule to apply makeup / beauty to yourself here is - The safest and most beautiful option is to choose the tones that match your Undertone. Do you have Warm Undertone? Go Orange, yellow, orange red! Do you have Cool Undertone? Go Pink, purple, blue, red light purple! What about Neutral Undertone? Any color makes you naturally beautiful!
